cross training for glory

Lord Mick is cross training for the local hairscramble team race this weekend. He bought Goat's old yz250 that Goat and I won on last year. This weekends team as going to be a superstar blow out team of me mick and ian. but a few hours ago on the single track behind my house the blow out was in ian's knee :(
Such is the life of a hard core gnar shredder. we all know what a blown to chunks rubber knee feels like.
Much wishes for a fast heal up Ian, you shred hard nigga.
As for the team race this weekend Lord Mick and I shall destroy every burm, kill every tree, soar every whoop section like an eagle,  and smoke the competition like a kripto chronic Bob Marley doobie.

Company of quality.

I was lucky to have some friends from back home visit me for a weekend of intoxicated holiday fun. The wop Alpe bros, Ian and lord Mick all made for some rather good excuses for late night shop anarchy and such.  Long live bros.

Texas. RMEC round 2

After last years race in quitaque (kitty- quay!) texas I had some high expectations. With the pits set up in down town we more than double the towns population. Fried Pickles and one dollar beers at the local pub were absent from this year, I was told the roof was leaking so bad at the pub the place was shut down. so was every other store front in town. I did not see the local race cars getting police escorts through town or get googley eyes from the local high school girls this year so needles to say the place was not an epic journey as it was last year..

..oh yeah and the race... it was more dry than a pop corn fart so dust was so bad in some tests that i had to reach a total stop just so i could regain bearing to which way was up and down. a good 100 mile plus enduro none the less. some sections had some super duper rhythmic turn sections that were more fun than fire crackers in cow pies. unfortunately my rear brake cooked to total fade a few times. but hey at least i did not pit my tuck and roll skills to test and I got to line up with and around some cool fellows.

Not shur how i placed as i loaded up and got the fuck out of town pronto in order to make the drive home through the night in order to get to work on time and spend a wonderfull joyes monday wrenching on shit coverd atvs. I bitch but I would not trade my life for another in a million years. Racing is Living. glory lasts forever and texas cooking is as tasty as it gets.
Lonestar beer and red dirt roost!
Shit you will see in the vacant Quitque store front windows. Four eyes, two mouths, and one creepy fuckin piece of veal.
Or burger... ummmm. while in texas i visited four thrift stores, three dollor stores and noticed that in texas if you are not large you are the minority. Eat up america! The bigger the beer gut the better traction control. Damn good burgers!
Yeah, those are all the pics i took.

Lets go RACING!!

Van- check. moto god- check. Trusty new red headed stead of bonor inspiration - check.

TREASURE

So a about a week or two ago my Pops out in Moab called me up all excited and told me he found a motorcylce in the colorado river near his house. it was down a 30' cliff at the end of a road. I figured it was a heap and probably their for a reason.  Then the night before last he finally got some pics sent over and i could tell right away it was an xr100 and i had to rescue it.

So i got off work early yesterday and made the 3.5 hr drive and got to moab early enough fora bit of that Utah sunshine. With a climbing rope, my dad's old toyoto truck and some elbow grease, wet feet, and blood we had it extracted in no time. 2006 crf100. Spraypaint (probably Stolen).  Spoke carnage on the rear wheel. other than that it looks in mighty fair shape.
Got home late last night as i dont get to see the old man to often. Im up early this morning so i can unload that fishing trophy from the van and give it a healthy wd-40 dousche and atf enima.
