flatlander festival of traction and pirated photo bonanza

This years Oklahoma Gold Rush Grand Prix is now in the books and proved to be a much more fruitful journey than 2012. Some unexpected engine woes sidelined Brandy and called the relatively new-to-me XR650R into action. After hearing numerous 650-experienced two wheeled thrashers rave about how mystically rad the big girls are, i was not all that nervous but did have some doubts. one second place ironman and one first place amateur open trophy later, and i had finally realized the super duper ninja karma chee fung shue of the magical honda, mean while scoring my best overall finishes in any race so far, with a sixth and a third. There was also some vintage racing to be had and along with that came the return of the elsinore, which had not been ridden in exactly one calendar year after some unfortunate events ended last year's attempt. Motocross went well on the old girl with a come from behind second place finish. the following morning, the vintage cross country race did not go as well with a rogue electrical problem shutting down the two stroke a couple minutes after the start.

 Okee Tuna
the elsinore is for sale to fund other projects if anyone is interested

 The moist Oklahoma dirt provided velcro-like traction and a finger lickin good time, and paired with about two miles of road-race tarmack, the gold rush was a fifth gear confidence (and bonor) inspiring extravaganza :P{I}
