love over money

I had this circus train of worthy old bikes pull up in front of my house this weekend. The two bike pickers that last time we met i let my old bsa lawn ornament go to for the price of a tank of van gas. The interest in the same machines as I but with a intent for money not fun.  The deal was made this time with my racing buddie's kawasaki tripple I was pasturing for him. A happy fellow my friend for he has beer money now. Happily the pickers crammed another bike into their successful harvest of my towns local pickings and back to the city they paraded. I am left with the joy of looking at the sweet old two smoker for a few weeks in my pasture, a 20 spot from my generous pal, and a empty feeling that money often leaves behind a two wheeled deal. .....i feel like i feel when i traffic sex slaves in my van.. shit1 did i say that out loud.

Im missing out on the Angel fire hairscrambe today. Lack of jingle in the race fund. One of the best races of the year, Ski area, huge elevation changes, tight nasty trees. I got the holeshot of my life last year. always good to be first to the top, that reminds me... I best focus on the real hill. PPIHC little over a month away... YIPPIE KI YI YAY MOTHA FUCKA!

Its taking over my thoughts and mind like a out of control virus. 41 days untill the race day and all ready my bike that i would normally be hariscrambling on this weekend is in pieces. I have been ordering up parts at work at a rate that left my paycheck charged down to three dollers and seventy cents. As i sit in bed at night I replay the 156 turns over and over in my head. I am having a brand new aarrrgh  head ported and let me tell you I feel like a little kid before christmas. only three weeks until a weekend of early practice on the mountain.

I just loaded FOUR bikes in the van and if we all make it to denver it oughta be a bitchin weekend. See Willy,  shred some tarmac on the gsxr, and flat track under the lights on the yamaha twin and low rider Molly. play hard. Race harder!

The lack of posting lately has been due to all the "yard work" I have been up to, building a rc stadium truck track in the back yard. Thats what happens when your riding buddy is a wicked huge rc nerd and blows up his knee. shit is more giggles than shrooms. Its like Goat vs Bubba battles back in the 06 outdoors. but with out the concussions.

....Davey Durele, A legend and record holder in every class at the PPIHC will be in my class this year. Yeah great cause i got second last year and third the year before. I really dont want to win this year. ...The man is a legend of shredding the Hill. He raced a old kx last year in the 250 class and finished same as me on the 450; 12:27. It is going to be a good race.... great race. I have the new honda crfx with wide ratio tranny. I am having the prior 250 and current 55+ Vintage ( he beat Moulder) PPIHC champ Chuck Lee port me a 450 R head. Molly the red headed stead ought to be up for some valve floating hill climbing gnar shredding road race tt action by end of this month. I know im chompin at the bit. stay tuned. life is about June 26th.
